For the 150 year jubilee of Viborg Domkirke, the oranist Morten Ladehoff has commissioned three new pieces by composers Allan Gravgaard Madsen, Nicolai Worsaae and Mette Nielsen.
TRIP is written for organ and percussion and will be premiered by Morten Ladehoff and Jonas Weitling.
The title TRIP can refer to triptykon, as both the shape of the piece, the musical elements and the space in which it is performed can be divided in threes. It can mean a trip round the space of the church. Or it can mean tripping, getting lost in the shifting sounds and overtones of the music.
